    Mei reading / translation request

    Hello
I have a world war two Japanese sword. I can not translate the signature, I have tried. Can anyone help? Once I know, I may be interested in selling if anyone interested.

    Hi MLR
It is not a signature per say. It reads "Mantetsu Kitau Tsukuru Kore" which means "Mantetsu made this by forging". It was made by a railway company, Mantetsu! On the other side should be a date. The stamp above the mei you see is the "REN Stamp"; the Dairen Railway Factory. I will attempt to contact you as, sure, I would buy it if the sword is good
