    Royal Scots Sword

    Hello,

I have been offered a sword by a friend but I know nothing about them, now if it had been a bayonet I would have been ok!

It has been described as a Royal Scots Highland Light Infantry cross hilt sword and that it dates back to the George 5th / WW1 era.

Please can someone identify it from the pics provided please,I can't see a maker mark which I find confusing!

Pic 3 could be a maker mark I suppose, this is a pic of the handle with the grip removed.

    Regards,
    Andy

Seems about right. No idea on maker; no maker's name, no way of telling.

At UK auction it would probably fetch 250 to 350 GBP depending on the auction house and the day.
    Retail is twice that value.
